Deloitte’s New Stovehouse Office An Indication Of Its Commitment to Huntsville

On Dec. 7, Deloitte formally opened a new office in the Stovehouse campus at 3414 Governors Drive SW in Huntsville, further strengthening its commitment to the Huntsville region.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was held with Mayor Tommy Battle alongside other city representatives that were present at the event.

Deloitte, a multinational professional services network, provides tax, consulting, audit and assurance, analytics, cloud services, and risk and financial advisory services to a broad cross-section of the largest corporations and governmental agencies.

Attended by Deloitte Consulting LLP Government & Public Services Industry Leader Michael Canning, Deloitte commemorated the opening of its nearly 10,000 square-foot facility by holding a roundtable discussion with business and government leaders from the Huntsville region as well as a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. This new facility replaces the older office at 1500 Perimeter Parkway.

Since opening its original Huntsville office in 2013, Deloitte established a workforce of nearly 150 Huntsville-based professionals and made significant investments in local higher education institutions, including a $1 million donation to the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering (ASCTE).

These investments are designed to inspire and train the next generation of cybersecurity and engineering professionals and to close the talent gap while building a diverse cybersecurity workforce in Alabama and the nation as a whole.

Deloitte, whose personnel work with every major Redstone Command, is committed to enriching the Huntsville community and providing lasting value through its local partnerships. Earlier this year, Deloitte partnered with the Huntsville Madison County Chamber of Commerce to deliver the “U.S. Defense Industrial Base (DIB)” study for the purpose of advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the defense sector.

“We are proud to support the Huntsville region, which plays a critical role in our nation’s defense, aerospace, information technology and advanced manufacturing industries,” Canning said. “It’s an honor to join our local Deloitte team and the Huntsville community to celebrate our renewed investment in Northern Alabama.”
