Lansing Companies Partnering with NALZ to Build a Zoo for You!
Lansing Companies, one of the largest land development firms in the United States, is now doing business in the dynamic and rapidly growing Huntsville-Madison County market. One of their more noteworthy projects is helping to build a new ZOO!
As a development company that serves to better the community and the people, Lansing is well-known for their master-planned communities and large-scale industrial projects. With 40 years of excellence under their belt, Lansing has built a distinguished reputation for problem solving and maintaining a high level of creativity. When it comes to challenging land development projects, Lansing takes an expert approach.
Its founder and CEO, Gregory Lansing, is personally committed to every project that Lansing takes on, providing keen insight while keeping the communities’ needs first and foremost.
The newest, most exciting opportunity for Lansing is to be part of the development project of the North Alabama Zoological Society (NALZS). In the process of acquiring 700 acres and numerous apartment units, Lansing’s vision for Huntsville continues to blossom. Lansing has recently aligned with Ethan Woodruff, CEO of NALZS with plans of developing an amazing zoo in North Alabama.
Of the 700 acres that Lansing plans to develop, 279 acres is dedicated to NALZS. The NALZS project goes well beyond just building a zoo; the completed venture will also enhance the community by creating jobs and strengthening the North Alabama tourism base.
When completed, NALZS will be strategically located along the I-65 corridor, just north of I-565. Besides being a great benefit to the area’s communities, the zoo will be easily accessible, thus enticing the many travelers visiting the Rocket City, as well as those venturing south to Mobile, north to Nashville, and all points beyond and in between.
It is a win-win for the Lansing and NALZS. Since NALZS is a 501C3 nonprofit organization, all contributions are tax-deductible. Not only will Lansing Companies be involved in the project every step of the way, but the company has also pledged up to $1,000,000 of their own capital to help kick off this meaningful project.
The zoo will provide the community and visitors with a new experience, promoting fields of study, preservation, and conservation related to the animal kingdom. It will also feature an aquarium. This valuable addition to Huntsville-Madison county and the North Alabama area will truly benefit the community and its visitors.
“We love doing business in Alabama. Everyone has made us feel very welcome,” said Lansing. “The entire city of Huntsville staff is working in a collaborative effort on the best interest and best development for the community. A rarity in today’s world.”
