At Catalyst Conference, the ‘I’s Have it: Imagination, Innovation, Inspiration

July 14, 2021/in Development, News, Nonprofits/by Lori Connors

Women often juggle many roles in order to maintain an effective work-life balance.

It can truly be a strategic balancing act, akin to walking a tightrope. Wife, mother, businesswoman, are but a few of the many “plates” a woman keeps spinning each day.

The good news is that there’s no need to tough it out or struggle in silence.

The agenda is in the works for The Catalyst Center for Business & Entrepreneurship’s seventh annual Women’s Business Conference. The all-day event will be Aug. 19 at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. This year’s theme is “Imagination, Innovation, and Inspiration.”

Through empowering and encouraging the many women served by the Catalyst – from the “mompreneur” to women in government contracting, this year’s conference promises something for everyone.

Here’s an overview of what the conference has to offer:

Multisession course topics that will include business accounting and budgeting, COVID-19 general support, customer relations, government contracting, human resources, managing a business, woman-owned businesses, marketing, sales, and social media.

For all women – Work-life balance hacks with a heaping dose of inspiration and empowerment.

For women in business – Marketing strategies, tips for managing a workforce, growing a business, and starting a side hustle.

For women in government contracting – Learn how to fill the government contracting pipeline, win government contracts, harness the power of micro-purchases and sole source, along with tips and information provided by prime contractors and government agencies.

Early registration is $75 and ends July 31. The price includes a box lunch and snacks throughout the day. To receive and additional $10 off, members should email info@catalystcenter.org for the members-only promo code.

For those qualifying as a HUBZone, an Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business, a business located in an area of high unemployment, or a business staffed by low-income individuals, the in-person event will be discounted to $25. For the discount code, visit  https://catalystcenter.ecenterdirect.com/loginurl=%2Fsurveys%2Fstart%3FSurveyID%3D15.

The virtual component of the Women’s Business Conference will take place via Whova platform.
