Hill Technical Solutions’ Second Annual Golf Tournament to Benefit Mental Health Center

March 23, 2022/in Featured, Charities, Events, News, Nonprofits, Recognition, Technology/by Marie Johnson

Huntsville’s Hill Technical Solutions has announced Friday, May 20, 2022, as the date for its second annual charity golf tournament.

The event will be held at the Cherokee Ridge Country Club, in Union Grove, Alabama. The tournament itself will be a four-person scramble, with two flights, morning and afternoon.

Grant HillEvent registration and sponsorship information can be found at www.htscharities.com. A basic sponsorship of a four-man team begins at $500, with additional brand recognition perks available for higher tiers of sponsorship.

This year’s event is held in memory of Grant Hill, the late son of HTS founders Brad and Stacey Hill. Hill graduated from the University of Alabama in 2021, with an intent to pursue a PhD in Psychology. Hill dreamed of opening a counseling center, to serve young adults and athletes struggling with addiction, depression, or other mental health concerns.

Tragically, Hill passed in a hunting accident in 2021. The Hill Family Foundation in Memorial of Grant Hill, a local 501(c)(3) organization, has taken up the cause in his memory. Proceeds from this year’s golf tournament will go to the Hill Family Foundation’s efforts to open a new mental health counseling center.

HTS CEO Glenn Turner says that the company plans to hold the tournament annually, with a different charitable beneficiary each year.

“This year, the proceeds will be used to carry on the work of a very special young man, Grant Hill, who tragically lost his life in 2021 before he was able to fulfill his life’s mission of helping others. Though he touched many lives, he had more work to do. Through the generosity of our sponsors and participants, we will be able to contribute through our golf tournament.”

Turner continued, “In addition to helping out a worthwhile cause, the tournament allows us to bring together people in the community for a fun day of golf and fellowship.”
