Goodall Homes announced it has acquired Legacy Homes of Alabama, the largest private homebuilder in Huntsville.

HBJGoodallLogoFounded in 2013, Legacy Homes has built over 1,500 homes and is on pace to complete over 400 more in 2021. Legacy Homes will maintain its brand in the market and the leadership team will retain their roles within the company, with Jeff Korotky continuing to lead Legacy Homes as division president.

HBJLegacyHomeLogoThe four principals of Legacy Homes – Korotky, Mark Hunter, Shawn Fairburn and Dan Nash – have more than 100 years of experience in the home building industry. The addition of Legacy Homes will allow Goodall Homes to continue to expand its new home footprint in North Alabama.

“The Legacy Homes team is thrilled to be a part of the Goodall family and looks forward to continuing our commitment to excellence with a group that values culture, character and integrity, and makes customer experience a top priority,” Jeff Korotky, Division President for Legacy Homes of Alabama, said in a news release.

Joining Goodall Homes creates tremendous opportunity for Legacy to continue focusing on building high-quality, energy-efficient homes at an extraordinary value to homeowners, the news release said.

As the greater Huntsville market continues to see record job expansion in the private and governmental sectors, the company will be able to provide long-term growth and stability for its team members, according to the news release. Goodall Homes is a subsidiary of Clayton Properties Group, a Berkshire Hathaway Company.

“We are elated to welcome the Legacy Homes Team to the Goodall Homes Family with open arms,” said Goodall President Bob Goodall. “Our combined dedication to quality and customer care will provide wonderful new home options for the dynamic and thriving city of Huntsville.”
