June 30, 2022/in Awards, Community Development, Engineering, Featured, NASA, News, Technology/by Ashlyn Grey

NASA recently announced the awarding of a facilities engineering design and inspection services contract to Vanguard Pacific of Foley. The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract is to provide architecture and engineering design services at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville.

The contract will go into effect on August 1, 2022, and is valued at $25.6 million with a maximum potential IDIQ value of $22.5 million, for a total value of $48.1 million. There is a one-year base period, followed by four one-year option periods that may be exercised at NASA’s discretion.

Vanguard Pacific will be responsible for design services in support of the minor construction contract for projects of $1 million or less covering master planning, surveillance, and inspection services at Marshall.

Vanguard Pacific is a Certified 8(a), Woman-Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small business providing construction and renovation, engineering and analytics and disaster preparedness and relief services to the United States Government.

Vanguard’s CEO, Sydney V. Cody, served in the Navy on active duty where she was attached to a Seabee Naval Mobile Construction Battalion. She led expeditionary construction detachments throughout the continent of Africa and cultivated an ingrained “can do” attitude. This attitude is evident in the culture she has created within the company.

“From small renovations to large construction projects, hurricane relief and long-term maintenance contracts, we have a proven record of personal, proactive management and high-quality results.”, shares Vanguard Pacific online, “We take pride in our performance, our reputation, our safety record, and the fact that our clients continue to come back to us for additional work. Vanguard can truly provide the best value option for our customers.”
