Rocket City Mom Media Group Welcomes New COO

August 10, 2022/in Recognition, News, People, Small Business/by staff reports

The Rocket City Mom family continues to grow alongside the city it calls home.

Lindsey Barron is the new Chief Operations Officer at Rocket City Mom Media Group and RocketCityMom.com. Barron will oversee daily operations for Sales and Editorial Staff and can be reached via email at lindsey@rocketcitymom.com.

“As the Huntsville area continues to experience explosive growth, we are excited to expand our team to better support local families. Lindsey brings an invaluable skill set to Rocket City Mom and we know the company will thrive under her leadership,” says Jennifer Breuer, Rocket City Mom Founder. “While we have experienced a record-breaking year for both revenue and readership, there is still much to do as we continue to build our business. The past year is a testament to the hard work and creativity of our team and to our commitment and investment in Rocket City Mom’s mission and future.”

Lindsey, a Madison County native, has a passion for serving the North Alabama community. She currently serves on the Board of the National Children’s Advocacy Center and also volunteers with Kids to Love, Downtown Rescue Mission, 305 8th Street, and many other local non-profit organizations. “We are thrilled to be a part of Rocket City Mom, and are looking forward to helping offer resources to families throughout our community,” she says.

Lindsey and her husband, Tommy, are foster parents through Madison County DHR, and to date have five children, two of which have been adopted from foster care.

“Rocket City Mom started as an outlet for one ‘new to Huntsville’ mom to share her parenting journey and it quickly grew to encompass different moms and dads all sharing their journeys together in the hopes of helping make their community stronger,” says Executive Editor Stephenie Walker.

“As we enter year thirteen we will continue to tell the story of the parents and families shaping and improving the communities of Huntsville and North Alabama, with a deep focus on topics from Parenting and Events to Area Family Resources and Seasonal Guides.”
