One of the secrets of our region’s success is the spirit of engagement of our business and professional communities. The perspectives and energy of the women and men working and living here help to create an environment where we can have lively conversations on topics ranging from education to recreation.

We have benefited from decades of fresh perspectives from those who have moved into the community blended with those who grew up here. The convergence of their perspectives has led to Huntsville, Madison and Madison County being recognized as one of the best places to live in the country. Chip Cherry

In this edition, you’ll meet individuals who have engaged in helping make this community a better place through a variety of activities. They serve on boards for volunteer organizations. Many participate in their children’s schools and coach sports teams. They are often busy juggling growing families. We are fortunate to have many people like this on our team at the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber!

We celebrate their spirit of engagement and are thankful to their employers for supporting their engagement. I encourage you to read their stories and use them as a primer for you to become more engaged in the community. Together we can build an even better community!
