Redstone Federal Credit Union Wins Silver Stevie® Award at 2025 American Business Awards

Redstone Federal Credit Union was recently recognized with a Stevie® Award at the 23rd Annual American Business Awards®. The credit union was praised for its commitment to serving members of modest means and for its unique community service efforts.

Redstone won a Silver Stevie® Award in the Company of the Year – Banking (Large) category. The American Business Awards (ABA), considered one of the leading business awards programs in the United States, recognize organizations of various types and sizes for notable performance in the workplace. More than 3,600 nominations were submitted for consideration in 2025, across a spectrum of industries.

Joe Newberry, President and CEO of Redstone Federal Credit Union, acknowledged the significance of this award. “We are incredibly honored to receive this national recognition. It’s a testament to the dedication of our employees and their unwavering commitment to serve our members with excellence. At Redstone, we believe in putting people first. This award reinforces that our mission is resonating and making a difference.”

Redstone’s award entry focused on its work with members at all income levels and its generous community support. Redstone highlighted its 2023-2024 efforts, which include:

  • $33 million in member givebacks which include dividends, cash back, and better rates.
  • Helped 310,098 members increase their credit score and originated 31,803 loans to members with lower credit scores.
  • Supported more than 600 organizations through sponsorships.
  • Awarded $180,000 in scholarships.
  • Helped more than 51,000 youth and adults with money management skills.
  • Redstone employees contributed $624,946 to the United Way.
