Taste of Huntsville: Tickle Your Tastebuds for a Worthy Cause
Have a love for good food and fine beverages? Mark your calendars for January 25th! The Taste of Huntsville is coming to the Von Braun Center.
As a time-honored tastebud focused celebration, the Taste of Huntsville is an event that is not to be missed.
Organized and hosted by the Huntsville-Madison County Hospitality Association (HMCHA), the 46th annual Taste of Huntsville is the premier food and beverage event that has celebrated North Alabama’s finest cuisine for nearly a half century.
Showcasing the area’s best food while raising money for local non-profit organizations, the Taste of Huntsville is a delicious dining experience where guests can gather and experience the wide assortment of culinary delights from restaurants that are sprinkled throughout the Huntsville-Madison County area.
It’s also a competition among the many participating restaurants and beverage vendors. As participants clamor for coveted awards in food presentation and taste, the Taste of Huntsville is guaranteed to tantalize the palate.
It’s so much more than that. It’s also a fundraiser, one that raises much needed financial support for local area charities. United Cerebral Palsy of Huntsville & Tennessee Valley and Huntsville Community Drumline are this year’s benefiting charities.
The area’s charitable organizations are vital to the Huntsville/Madison County community. The Taste of Huntsville endeavors to support efforts that offer hope and stability to those who need it most.
HMCHA’s overarching goal is to host a safe, fun, and charitable event each year. Four months ago, an uptick in COVID, combined with staffing shortages in the food and beverage industry prompted HMCHA to postpone the Taste of Huntsville. The HMCHA is thrilled to be able to bring it back, right after the new year.
Two of the major ways that HMCHA raises money for the Taste of Huntsville is through sponsorship and by hosting a well-appointed silent auction. Sponsorship from local individuals and organizations provides a solid event foundation as well as a valuable way for sponsors to connect with the community.
The silent auction is a win-win. It provides a great way to support the benefiting charities and promote what a business has to offer to the community. An enticing array of goodies to bid on builds interest and excitement, along with generating additional funds.
There are nearly 50 participating restaurants and beverage vendors featured at this years’ Taste of Huntsville. A few of the many contenders include Char, Drake’s, Bonefish Grill, The Big Bowl Thai Cuisine, El Molcajete Mexican Grill, BeeZr, Big Shake’s Hot Chicken & Fish, and 106 Jefferson.
There is still time for more interested participants to apply for the event. Applications can be accessed here, and are due by this upcoming Friday, December 31.
Additionally, one of the major ways that he Taste of Huntsville raises money is sponsorship through this event from local businesses, organization and families. To sign up to sponsor the event, please follow the link here.
The HMCHA is working with benefiting charities, members, local businesses, and community supporters to make this the best Taste of Huntsville event EVER! They invite the community to the Taste of Huntsville, to learn more about all that the Rocket City has to offer. Bring your friends and family out for a night of fabulous food and fun!
