Take Me Out to the Ballgame: Trash Panda Job Fair

December 29, 2021/in News, People, Sports, Workforce Development/by staff reports

Build a stadium, build a team, and the jobs will soon follow.

Love baseball? Love working with people? If the answer is yes and working in a fast-paced stadium environment is your kind of thing, the Rocket City Trash Pandas want YOU!

In preparation for season two, the Trash Pandas will host their second annual job fair from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, February 19 at Toyota Field.

The Trash Pandas are looking for a few high energy people who possess the passion and enthusiasm to help provide outstanding customer service, as well as create the best fan experience in professional baseball.

Prospective new hires are needed to work the home games. There are a variety of positions available including ushers, ticket takers, promotions, production, parking, security, food and beverage, retail, and more!

All interested candidates must be at least 16 years of age with legal work status. During the job fair, applicants will have the opportunity to interview for a maximum of three (3) positions. Each interview will take about 5-10 minutes to complete. Those not selected for one of their top three desired positions may be offered a role in a different department.

Before being interviewed, all applicants must first complete a job application. Applications can be downloaded and filled out in advance; see below for the link. There will also be printed applications available at the job fair.

For those applying to multiple positions, job preference sheets will also be available

The 2022 Trash Pandas season is fast upon us and it will be here before we know it. Mark your calendars. The first game will be on the road at Birmingham on Friday, April 8. The Toyota Field home opener is Tuesday, April 12; the Trash Pandas will be playing against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.

Applications can be found here.
