Birmingham-based AV solutions provider Audio Video Excellence (AVX) announced that it is expanding into the Huntsville market with the acquisition of Huntsville company Audio Insight, located at 1229 Putman Dr. NW.

FB IMG 1651166741268 Founded by Huntsville native John Miller in 2000, Audio Insight focuses on designing and installing audio systems into homes and businesses across North Alabama and the Tennessee Valley. Following Miller’s death in 2021 after a long illness, it became increasingly clear that Audio Insight would face significant issues under the circumstances.

According to AVX CEO Joseph Miller, “the Audio Insight opportunity was actually presented through a mutual friend of AVX and Audio Insight Founder, John Miller. Following his death in 2021, John’s family was looking for a company that shared similar values and AVX was a perfect fit.”

AVX will continue operating out of the current Audio Insight headquarters on Putman Drive. Asked whether he foresees further expansion in the Huntsville area, Miller responded “AVX is actively seeking acquisition opportunities to further expand both the residential and commercial divisions of the company.”
