FirstBank Recognized by American Banker as Best Bank to Work for in 2022

FirstBank has been named one of the 2022 Best Banks to Work For by American Banker for the third consecutive year. American Banker has partnered with Best Companies Group to identify banks that excel at creating positive and supportive workplaces for employees.

Nashville-based FirstBank is the third largest Tennessee-headquartered bank, with 83 full-service branches across Tennessee, South Central Kentucky, Alabama and North Georgia, and a national mortgage business with offices across the Southeast. Since its inception in 1906, FirstBank’s business model has always been community-based, and has a reputation of excellence within each of its local markets. firstbank logo cddb2e54

“Providing a great place to work is a top priority for FirstBank and we’re honored to be recognized by American Banker,” said Christopher Holmes, President and CEO of FirstBank. “We pride ourselves on being a family-first culture and make a conscious effort to ensure that our associates can be their best at work and in the communities they call home.”

FirstBank has participated in the Best Banks to Work For program three times total and has been recognized all three years. This year 90 banks earned a spot in the ranking based on anonymous employee surveys and a thorough review of the benefits and perks offered by the companies. The survey and awards program are designed to identify and honor banks with the best cultures for helping employees thrive. The full 2022 Best Banks to Work For list is featured at www.americanbanker.com.

“The banks recognized on this list work hard to create workplaces that employees want to join,” said Chana R. Schoenberger, Editor-in-Chief of American Banker. “Especially during this moment when companies are experiencing a shift in how, where, and how much employees work, banks are paying attention to how they can best retain their people.”

To be considered for participation, banks had to have at least 50 employees working in the U.S. and been in business for a minimum of one year. Best Companies Group managed the registration and survey process and also analyzed the data to determine the final ranking.
