Mark Splawn Joins U.S. Space & Rocket Center as VP of Projects, Infrastructure

HUNTSVILLE, AL – Mark Splawn has joined the U.S. Space & Rocket Center as Vice President of Projects and Infrastructure. In this role, Splawn will oversee large-scale capital and construction projects as well as key Rocket Center departments, including facilities, security and environmental and technical services.

Splawn was previously director of facilities at Dynetics, Inc., for nearly two decades, receiving the company’s Customer Service Award and the Business Excellence Award during his tenure. He began his career at SpaceCo Electric, a family-owned commercial and industrial electrical contracting company. He then ran his own landscape management company, which was named the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber’s Small Business of the Year in the Services category.

Splawn is a Huntsville native, and a graduate of both Grissom High School and the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where he received a degree in finance. He and his wife, Tammy, have three adult children and four grandchildren.
