Robins Morton Ranked No. 2 Contractor by Modern Healthcare Magazine

Robins & Morton ranked second on Modern Healthcare magazine’s list of the country’s top general contractors.  

The list ranked companies by the total construction cost of completed healthcare projects in 2022. Last  year, Robins & Morton completed $1.2 billion in healthcare projects encompassing 3.3 million square feet. The company has ranked among Modern Healthcare’s top 10 since the list’s inception 37 years ago. 

“Our company decided to specialize in healthcare over 40 years ago. By understanding the unique  requirements of our healthcare clients and satisfying those needs, we became a leader in the industry,”  said Chairman and CEO Bill Morton. “We are grateful for all the client relationships we have and the trust  they place in us. We also value the many partners we work with to deliver first class facilities.”

Robins & Morton stands out among the top healthcare contractors in that it generated 86% of its revenue  from healthcare projects last year.  

Notable healthcare projects completed in 2022 include the vertical expansion of Joe DiMaggio Children’s  Hospital in Hollywood, Florida; Piedmont Medical Center – Fort Mill in Fort Mill, South Carolina; Reeves  Regional Health in Pecos, Texas; and the vertical expansion at BayCare St. Anthony’s Hospital in St.  Petersburg, Florida. 

In 2023, Robins & Morton will begin, continue and complete several major hospital projects including  more than $430 million in work for UHealth in South Florida, Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital’s $350  million Crystal Spring Tower in Roanoke, Virginia, and the new $254 million Wadley Regional Medical  Center in Texarkana, Texas.
