Amanda Pope, Invariant Corporation Top 40 Under 40

June 5, 2023/in News, People, Top 40/by Gus Wintzell

Amanda Pope, MBA, PMP is the Chief Strategy Officer at Invariant Corporation. She joined the company over 18 months ago and has hit the ground running, helping the organization to level-up their business practices as they have experienced unprecedented growth. She has been integral in the success of implementing a new enterprise resource planning system, working towards Invariant becoming employee-owned and more than doubling their footprint in south Huntsville this upcoming year with additional offices, conference rooms, and lab space. Amanda is a 2022 graduate of Leadership Greater Huntsville’s Management Academy, a Director on the board of the Women’s Economic Development Council serving as the co-chair of the Finance Committee in addition to volunteering her time with the Bob Jones Lacrosse Team to help grow the game in north Alabama.

How has Huntsville shaped your career path?

I was drawn to the business world and the desire to serve my community, having grown up in service-based industries. When I arrived in Huntsville, I was impressed by the city’s emphasis on supporting the military, especially the warfighter. It was here that I gained a deeper understanding of the crucial role contractors play in national security. I can confidently say that if I hadn’t ended up in Huntsville, I wouldn’t be working in government contracting today, and I can’t imagine a more rewarding industry. My work now holds greater significance and purpose.

What is the best place in town to hang out in your free time?

This is a tough question because there are so many great places to hang out in Huntsville. If I had to pick one, it would be Midcity District. I love that there are so many options all within walking distance of each other including Top Golf, High Point, The Camp, great restaurants, and of course, the Orion Amphitheater.

What’s your favorite restaurant in town?

My favorite restaurant in Huntsville is Old Black Bear. I especially recommend trying their Giant Bavarian Pretzel!
