Kaki brings enthusiasm and dedication to each role she fulfills.

What do you love most about living and working in Huntsville?

Living and working in Huntsville has been an incredible opportunity because of the people. Each of my neighbors, co-workers, and friends have such a unique story. There is so much joy in discovering how our differences make us so much stronger when we work together.

What’s your best advice for starting a career in the Rocket City?

I moved to Huntsville as a newly minted alumni of Lipscomb University. My best advice is to embrace collaboration and meet as many people as possible early in your career. Huntsville is brimming with opportunities for budding young professionals.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my amazing kids. I am a proud mom of triplets, so experiencing the world through their eyes has been one of life’s greatest joys. So many of my “spare time hobbies” such as cooking, reading, traveling, and playing outdoors have been made so rich when I have the opportunity to do these things with my children.

How do you like to give back to the community, and why is it important to you?

I love volunteering with PTA as well as with my church. I believe in the importance of investing our most precious resource of time in organizations that are meaningful. I know in doing so, when we work together for a common cause, we can truly make a tremendous impact.

Who has been the biggest influence on your career, and what valuable lesson did they teach you?

Hands down, my parents have had the biggest influence on my career. They taught me the importance of a strong work ethic, servant leadership, and even how humor can play an important role in our day-to-day lives.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I am a lefty, which is my secret superpower. Also, I am a self-proclaimed trivia master.

Where is your favorite place to relax in Huntsville?

I realize that I might be biased, but I have the special privilege of working among some incredibly relaxing scenery at Huntsville Botanical Garden. In my 3+ years at the Garden, I’ve come to understand first-hand the role that nature plays in our physical, mental, and spiritual health.

What is your favorite workday jam?

To be clear, some of my professional duties require a hyped version of myself and some of my professional duties require concentration. For the former, my all-time favorite hype music remains Girltalk. For the latter, I prefer lo-fi beats.
