William Ming: Ming Commercial Real Estate Group, Principal and Qualifying Broker

William Ming lives in Athens, Alabama, where his family business, Ming Commercial Real Estate Group, is based. He earned his undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Alabama in 2013 as a scholarship athlete and member of the football team, winning three national championships under Coach Nick Saban.

At Ming CRE Group, William manages retail development, construction, and brokerage. He has played a key role in the company’s success across Huntsville and North Alabama creating jobs, boosting local revenue, and building strong relationships with city officials and business leaders. He serves on the boards of the Athens-Limestone Chamber, Limestone County Economic Development Association, Athens-Limestone Hospital, and Athens Main Street.

Outside of work, he prioritizes time with his wife and two young children, enjoying fun activities together.

What do you love most about living and working in Huntsville? 

I love that Huntsville offers the energy and opportunities of a big city while maintaining a close-knit, small-town community feel.

What’s your best advice for starting a career in the Rocket City? 

Jump in, get involved, and build relationships. The connections you make will shape your future and open doors to new opportunities.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work? 

I love spending quality time with my wife and kids, making memories together.

How do you like to give back to the community, and why is it important to you? 

By volunteering to improve my community and honoring those who paved the way before me.

Who has been the biggest influence on your career, and what valuable lesson did they teach you? 

My dad, Bill Ming. He showed me that hard work leads to success and that integrity is everything in business.

Where is your favorite place to relax in Huntsville? 

You can’t beat a great meal at Connor’s or unwinding with a margarita at Rosie’s.
