Defense contract roundup: Aventis awarded contracts totalling more than $856 million

Huntsville-based Aventis has been awarded a pair of Air Force contracts valued at more than $856 million, the Department of Defense announced.

The $523,863,958 and $323,405,239 cost-plus-fixed-fee contracts are for technical and management advisory services, the DoD said. The contracts provide support for aerospace research, development, and test and evaluation activities. 

The work will be performed at several Air Force bases and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2031. The Air Force Test Center, Eglin AFB, Fla., is the contracting activity. 

Other Huntsville contract announcements:

  • Sigmatech has been awarded a $108,862,926 firm-fixed-price Air Force contract for systems engineering and technical assistance. The contract supports the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Space Acquisition and Integration.
    The work is expected to be completed by July 23, 2031. The Air Force District of Washington, Joint Base Andrews, Md., is the contracting activity 
  • Corvid Technologies has been awarded a $15.3 million contract modification by the Navy for the design, manufacture, and delivery of short and medium range sub-orbital vehicle configurations, including provision of ground test hardware, special test equipment, materials, and engineering and launch support services.
    The work will be performed in Huntsville and elsewhere and is expected to be completed by July 2027. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme (Calif.), White Sands Detachment is the contracting activity. 
  • Dawson Solutions is among 11 other companies to compete for each order of a $249 million firm-fixed-price contract for environmental remediation services.
    Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of July 9, 2031. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha, Neb., is the contracting activity.
