Alabama A&M-Omni2Max athletics patch deal built on academic talent, workforce development

July 31, 2026/in Education, Entertainment, Events, Featured, Lead, News, Recreation, Sports, Travel/Leisure, Workforce Development/by Bud McLaughlin

When Alabama A&M announced its historic football patch deal with Omni2Max, it marked a continuation of a partnership that began about 10 months ago.

A segment of that partnership resulted in the corporate football jersey patch deal making Alabama A&M the first Historically Black College and University (HBCU) to secure a corporate jersey-patch partnership for its football program.

As part of the agreement, the Omni2Max logo will be displayed on Alabama A&M football jerseys, giving the professional technical services firm national visibility throughout the Bulldogs’ season.

The groundbreaking partnership represents a significant step in Alabama A&M Athletics’ continued efforts to expand its corporate relationships, generate revenue opportunities and elevate the Bulldogs’ brand.

“This is a historic moment for Alabama A&M University, our football program and HBCU athletics,” Alabama A&M Director of Athletics Dr. Paul A. Bryant said. “We are proud to welcome Omni2Max as our inaugural football jersey-patch partner. This agreement reflects the innovative direction of our athletics department and the tremendous value of the Alabama A&M brand. Omni2Max shares our commitment to excellence, leadership and creating opportunities, making the company an ideal partner for Bulldog Athletics.”

While jersey sponsorships such as those for Alabama, Notre Dame and Ohio are primarily targeted for television exposure, the Bulldogs’ deal is built around workforce development, engineering talent and long-term corporate partnerships.

That began last October when company representatives visited the university’s College of Engineering, Technology and Physical Sciences to explore collaborative opportunities in research, STEM education and workforce development.

“Omni2Max is honored to make history alongside Alabama A&M University,” Omni2Max President and CEO Dr. Allen F. Maxwell said. “This partnership extends beyond the placement of our logo on a football jersey. It represents our investment in a distinguished institution, its student-athletes and the next generation of leaders.

“We are excited to support Bulldog Athletics and build a relationship that creates a lasting impact on the university and its community.”

The partnership positions Alabama A&M at the forefront of the evolving collegiate athletics landscape while creating increased exposure for both organizations. It also demonstrates the university’s commitment to developing forward-thinking partnerships that enhance the student-athlete experience and support the long-term growth of Bulldog Athletics.

Omni2Max is a San Diego-based Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business with extensive experience in engineering, cybersecurity, logistics, and defense systems integration.

Alabama A&M has nationally recognized academic programs that will help create a workforce pipeline for Omni2Max, not to mention its location in Huntsville providing accessibility to top engineering, cyber and defense companies.

The NCAA approved uniform patches in January with a limit of two corporate logos measuring no more than four square inches during regular-season competition. More than two dozen schools have since announced the jersey patch partnerships.

The partnership positions Alabama A&M at the forefront of the evolving collegiate athletics landscape while creating increased exposure for both organizations, officials said. It also demonstrates the university’s commitment to developing forward-thinking partnerships that enhance the student-athlete experience and support the long-term growth of Bulldog athletics.
