March 2, 2022/in Banking, Career, Featured/by Mike Easterling

Though born in Tennessee, Brandon Carrin calls Huntsville “home.’’

He moved with his family to the southeastern part of the city when he was 4 years old. He eventually graduated from Grissom High School before moving on to the University of Alabama’s Culverhouse College of Business, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance.

He eventually returned to the Tennessee Valley and is making his mark professionally, recently receiving a promotion at Progress Bank. Head of  Bank/Huntsville Market President Lee Hoekenschnieder announced that Carrin was being promoted to AVP Business Banker.

“I’m really excited about it,’’ Carrin said. “I’m really happy for the opportunity ahead.’’

He has more than 14 years of banking experience, beginning in credit and eventually moving to manage Progress Bank’s Huntsville branch the last five and a half years. Brandon is also a graduate of Leadership Huntsville Management Academy.

“I am pleased to announce that after more than nine years of service to the Bank in our credit and consumer banking areas, Brandon Carrin has accepted a promotion to Business Banker in the Huntsville/Madison County market,’’ Hoekenschnieder said in a press release. “Brandon’s credit and business development background makes him a perfect choice for this role.”

Carrin is highly active in the community. He serves local organizations including the Cornerstone Initiative, Young Business Leaders (YBL) and South City Church Kid’s Ministry. He has also been involved with the Food Bank of North Alabama (Board Chair), North Alabama Revolving Loan Fund Advisory Board, Cove Church (past Board Treasurer), Lincoln Village Ministry (past Ambassador) and Whitesburg Christian Academy (PTF Treasurer).

Carrin, 38, and his wife, Jessica, have three children.

Progress Bank has two locations in Huntsville (201 Williams Avenue and 2746 Carl T. Jones Drive) and one in Madison (8337 U.S. Highway 72). Other Alabama offices are in Birmingham, Daphne, Decatur, Florence, Tuscaloosa and Vestavia.

The bank has Florida locations in Destin, Inlet Beach, Panama City and Santa Rosa Beach.
