106 Jefferson To Open its Doors This Summer

March 31, 2021/in News, Food/dining, Real Estate, Tourism, Travel/Leisure/by staff reports

Downtown Huntsville continues to evolve and increase its allure as a destination area.

The latest addition is 106 Jefferson, a 115-room boutique upper upscale hotel, that will open this summer.

106 Jefferson is expected to open this summer.

Part of Curio Collection by Hilton, 106 Jefferson is built on the historic site of the former Huntsville Hotel, an iconic hot spot during the Victorian era. The property will be walkable to bustling downtown Huntsville and will feature spacious guestrooms, a chef-driven restaurant, a rooftop lounge and more than 2,000 square feet of meetings and event space.

Firmly planted at the center of science and technology, yet rooted in Southern hospitality, 106 Jefferson will reflect the lofty aspirations and local charm of the Huntsville community, with subtle nods to its rich history found throughout the property. The sophisticated design and thoughtful attention to detail will effortlessly blend premier southern hospitality and the space age for a memorable experience for travelers and locals alike.

“We’re thrilled to bring this one-of-a-kind experience to Huntsville,” said Mary Beth Lewis, 106 Jefferson’s director of sales and marketing. “With the spirit and history of the community as a foundation, we hope to provide travelers an unforgettable opportunity to experience authentic Huntsville for themselves. We can’t wait to welcome guests and locals this summer.”

Built on revival, 106 Jefferson’s chef-driven eatery, Revivalist, pays homage to the property’s history through its  décor, reminiscent of an old-time parlor and menu introducing a new world of flavors influenced by European classics.

Additionally, the hotel will be home to Baker & Able, an indoor/outdoor rooftop lounge serving whimsical cocktails and unmatched panoramic views of the city. The star-lit outdoor lounge was inspired by its namesake, the space-bound primates that called Huntsville home and aims to provide guests and the community an elegant space to take in the city and look to the stars.

Developed by Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate, the hotel will feature the Century Ballroom, a fully customizable space, indulging planners and guests in a unique event experience.
