Ciao! Amerigo Comes to South Huntsville

April 22, 2021/in Food/dining, News/by Lori Connors

Amerigo Vespucci was a great Italian discoverer and, soon, Huntsville will discover Amerigo.

Nashville-based 4Top Hospitality Group is bringing Amerigo, a restaurant that specializes in classic Italian fare, to the Rocket City. The restaurant will land at The Market at Hays Farm, its first location in Alabama.

4Top focused on bringing Amerigo to South Huntsville because they felt that it would fill a gap in the Italian cuisine market. What’s more, the current demography and the projected growth of South Huntsville were tipping factors.

The group opened Char restaurant on Bob Wallace Avenue in 2019 and 4Top made opening Amerigo in Huntsville a key objective.

“Given the warm reception we received when we opened Char, in addition to the number of guests I’ve met from the Huntsville area frequenting our Amerigo in Brentwood, Tenn., we made opening another location in Huntsville a priority,” said Doug Hogrefe, co-owner 0f Amerigo. “We couldn’t be happier with the site we’ve chosen.”

Amerigo serves fresh Italian meals with local food providers and fresh ingredients. Vegetarian and gluten-free menus are also available, featuring a wide variety of salads, entrees, and desserts.
