The Lofts at Dallas Mill to Join Expansion of Downtown North

The Lofts at Dallas Mill poolDowntown Huntsville’s northern expansion continues with a new development along Meridian Street.

Construction is underway on The Lofts at Dallas Mill in Huntsville’s Downtown North.

The Ventis Group started construction on the workforce and lifestyle housing development in May and anticipates opening late in the fall of 2022, according to a news release.

Designed with Huntsville’s young workforce in mind, The Lofts at Dallas Mill adds a housing option close to downtown Huntsville.

The 4.3-acre property will provide 113,808 square feet of leasable space, totaling 148 units. The site will include  amenities such as a coworking space, pool, roof terrace, on-site fitness center, and more.

“We envisioned a complex that offers all of the amenities today’s young workforce desires in a location that allows them to take advantage of all Huntsville has to offer,” said Chris Hanback, co-owner of The Ventis Group. “We believe the Downtown North area is the perfect location for this.”

The Lofts at Dallas Mill sideDowntown North has already seen extensive growth with the redevelopment of Lincoln Mill, the city’s improvements to the Meridian Street corridor, and new local businesses such as Preservation Company, L’etoile Patisserie, and Holtz Leather Co. The Lofts at Dallas Mill is a vital step in the continued growth and success of this area, and Huntsville as a whole.

“When we first started this project, Huntsville was on track to become the biggest city in Alabama in just a few short years,” said Rob Heard, co-owner of The Ventis Group. “With the news that Huntsville has reached that goal early, we are more sure than ever that we are on the right track.”

The Ventis Group is partnering with Johnston Design Group, Elmington Property Management, and Fite Construction in the design and development of this project.
