MADISON — Fighting a cloudy sky and threatening rain, First National Bank formally cut the ribbon on its fifth location in Alabama – across from Toyota Field at Town Madison.

Baseball, delicious food, retail shopping, and plenty of fun and excitement, and now there is access to plenty of money to pay for it.

With a location in Huntsville, Ardmore, and two locations in Athens, First National Bank Community Executive Chris Lindsey said there was never any doubt about where to put their newest Madison location.

“I wasn’t in on the decision-making process about location,” said Lindsey, “but with everything that is going on at Town Madison, I don’t think the powers to be ever considered anywhere else for this expansion.”

Started in Pulaski, Tenn., in 1938 with $60,000 in capital, First National Bank today has assets of $1.1 billion and 12 locations in Alabama and Tennessee with plans for further expansion.

Despite its enterprising name, Lindsey said First National Bank is a community bank in the truest sense of the word.

“We have a perfect mix of products and services to meet the needs of both the commercial and the personal banking customer,” he said. “We are all about building long term personal relationships in every community where we have a bank, and we are here to help anyone who needs it.

“We are excited about being here in Town Madison and look forward to getting involved in the community.”
