CVB Kicks Off 9th Annual #iHeartHsv Social Media Campaign

February 3, 2022/in Community Development, Entertainment, Events, Featured, News/by Dawn Suiter

Now in its ninth year, the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) #iHeartHsv social media campaign is offering visitors and locals alike the chance to show off what they love most about Huntsville and Madison County.

Describing the campaign as Huntsville’s biggest “digital lovefest,” the CVB is inviting the public to submit digital Valentines for hotel and restaurant workers, museum personnel, event support staff, and people working in every facet of hospitality. Everyone is invited to join the CVB in celebrating all things travel and hospitality in the Rocket City, leaving notes of love and encouragement using the hashtag #iHeartHsv on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

The theme for 2022 is “Dear Hospitality, We Love You,” with digital Valentine messages expressing words of encouragement and appreciation shared with those working in hospitality across the Huntsville/Madison County area. The Valentines can be sent via online form on the CVB’s website at huntsville.org/iHeartHsv.

As an added incentive to show the love, the CVB will draw a $500 cash prize winner from all entries submitted between Feb. 1-14. The winner will be announced by Feb. 16.

“Our local hospitality workers continue to provide warm, welcoming experiences to our visitors and locals alike, despite the adversity the past two years have presented,” said Judy Ryals, President/CEO of the CVB. “As we continue to move through the challenges of the pandemic, our industry continue to offer the simple things that keep all of us going–a hot cup of coffee, an inspiring performance, a great meal. We want them to hear from the community first-hand and know how much they are appreciated.”

In addition to the $500 grand prize drawing, starting on Tuesday, Feb. 1 and lasting through Monday, Feb. 14, the Huntsville/Madison County CVB will be awarding daily prizes to social media users who respond to daily prompts posted through the CVB’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter channels using the hashtag #iHeartHsv. Daily winners will be selected each night at 9:00 PM CST, with prizes including hotel stays, dining gift cards, local attraction tickets, and more.

Winners will be selected by CVB team members based on the use of the #iHeartHsv hashtag, relevance to the daily prompt, and creativity. For more information, visit huntsville.org/iHeartHSV.
