Momentum announce second ever Huntsville Executive Leadership class

Momentum, Alabama’s premier leadership organization dedicated to advancing women leaders in the state of Alabama, today announced the roster for its 2nd executive leadership class in Huntsville. Momentum, in its 21st year of operations in Birmingham, launched its first Huntsville based cohort last year.

“I have lived in Huntsville for 30 years and can attest to the asset Momentum is going to be for our area,” said Program Manager Amy Gandy. “With so much of our industry in aerospace, defense, information technology, bioscience, and manufacturing, the headwinds can be strong for women. The sense of isolation increases as women advance in leadership within these male-dominated industries. Momentum connects women leaders from across industries and brings in experts from around the country to help them unlock their full potential.”

The new class members will meet for orientation and the opening two-day retreat in September. The class will follow a nine-month program of personal and professional development.

The curriculum is a combination of soft skills and business skills required of leaders, presented through the female lens. Women routinely experience unique challenges as they advance in leadership. Momentum’s proven process of self-discovery, vision casting, action planning, and connecting to the community has delivered transformational change to women for more than 20 years.A Momentum Session
