Invariant Corporation was recently awarded a $35.5 million dollar Ground Launched Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) Modular System OTA by the Naval Energetic Systems and Technologies (NEST) in support of the U.S. Navy.

The Naval Energetic Systems and Technologies, in partnership with the National Armaments Consortium (NAC), is a national collaboration supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) to address the most significant energetics and explosive ordnance disposal challenges facing the Navy, the Marine Corps, Department of Defense, and the Nation.

Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) pose an increasing and asymmetrical threat on the modern battlefield. Invariant’s Surface to Air Kinetic Engagement (STAKE) Counter UAS (C-UAS) solution intends to create a low-cost, transportable product that is easily accessible for deployment. Through the NEST OTA, Invariant will design and develop the STAKE solution that will allow Soldiers to locate and defeat UAS threats.

Invariant also recently expanded its corporate headquarters to include a new facility with state-of-the-art electronics and optics labs.
