DESE Research announces appointment of new CTO

DESE Research, Inc. announced the appointment of Dr. Timothy A. Barton as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Dr. Barton brings over 30 years of expertise in developing solutions for customers on some of the Nation’s most pressing national security challenges faced by the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.

As the newly appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at DESE Research, Inc., Dr. Barton will be pivotal in steering the company’s technical landscape and contributing to its growth, strategy, technical discrimination, planning, execution, investments, and change management.

Before joining DESE Research, Dr. Barton served as the Chief Technology Officer in the Leidos, Inc. Dynetics Group, where he played a role in advancing the organization’s technical capabilities. His notable technical leadership roles were also evident during his tenure at Leidos, SAIC, and MIT Lincoln Laboratory.

Dr. Barton’s academic achievements include a B.S. and Masters in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and a Doctor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.

Residing in Huntsville, AL, with his family, Dr. Barton brings a wealth of professional accomplishments and a personal touch, enjoying travel, cooking, fly fishing, photography, and music.
