Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar has announced the grand opening of its first Alabama location in Huntsville, set for November 8, 2024.

Located at 900 Mid City Drive in the Metronome at MidCity, the restaurant will bring its Southern food and Appalachian-inspired dishes to the heart of Huntsville’s rapidly growing MidCity District.

This will be Tupelo Honey’s 23rd U.S. location.

“We’re thrilled to join Huntsville’s vibrant culinary scene and open our doors to the community,” said Caroline Skinner, Chief Operating Officer of Tupelo Honey. “Huntsville’s growth and its strong food culture make it the perfect place to share our take on Southern traditions, food, and hospitality.”

Spanning over 6,000 square feet with a patio seating for 75, the new restaurant will employ more than 90 local residents. Known for its modern twist on Southern classics, Tupelo Honey’s menu features dishes like honey-dusted fried chicken, mac-n-cheese waffles with hot fried chicken, and blackened mahi-mahi with Creole butter.

The menu will offer a variety of options for brunch, lunch, dinner, and happy hour.

Tupelo Honey’s bar menu will feature a range of craft cocktails, local Alabama beers on tap, and a selection of spirit-free drinks. Guests can enjoy unique drinks like the “Magic Lemonade” or sample a flight of mimosas. The bar will also highlight Alabama-based brands, including Clyde May’s, Irons ONE Distillery, and Yellowhammer Brewing.

Executive Chef and VP of Culinary, Eric Gabrynowicz, is excited to introduce Tupelo Honey’s distinctive take on Southern cuisine to Huntsville.

“We look forward to showcasing our creative approach to Southern classics and becoming part of this dynamic community,” said Gabrynowicz.

Tupelo Honey’s Huntsville location will operate Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with weekday Happy Hours from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
