Huntsville Beautification Awards: Nominations now open

February 28, 2025/in Awards, Community Development, Environment, Featured, Government, News/by staff reports

The City of Huntsville is now accepting applications for the 2025 Huntsville Beautification Awards.

The deadline to submit an entry form is Monday, April 7. A $50 fee is required for each property nominated.

Payment can be submitted via PayPal for digital nominations or by check mailed to P.O. Box 738, Huntsville, AL 35804. Checks should be made payable to the Huntsville Beautification Board.

Judging for the awards will be held after Memorial Day.

Commercial, business, and government properties licensed by the City of Huntsville and located within city limits are eligible for nomination. Properties must be at least one year old to qualify. Properties that currently hold a Beautification Award must reapply for consideration in 2025.

Judging will be based on overall first impressions, creativity and uniqueness, as well as landscape design, plant quality (including trees, shrubs, flowers, ground cover, and grass), maintenance, hardscape elements, and litter control.

Up to five properties may be nominated on each entry form. Lists of properties will not be accepted. For landscapers, a copy of a current business license is also required and may be uploaded with the entry form. Only one copy of the license per landscaper is needed.

Email the Beautification Board at huntsvillebeautificationboard@gmail.com or call Huntsville’s Green Team at 256-532-5326 for more information.
