Clint Caudle: Carina Technology, Inc., President and Director of Software Development

May 16, 2025/in Featured, Lead, News, Top 40/by Sarah Zupko

Clint Caudle, a Huntsville native, is the President and Director of Software Engineering for Carina Technology. He holds BAs in Computer Science and Economics from Vanderbilt University, with a minor in Corporate Strategy. Clint joined Carina in 2016 from Epic, a healthcare giant in Madison, WI, where he worked as a software engineer on the cardiology team.

Carina specializes in broadband fiber and demand response solutions for the electric utility market. Carina’s fiber-based metering infrastructure and demand response capabilities enable the next generation of renewable and advanced grid capabilities.

Clint’s expertise is widely recognized, as evidenced by invitations to speak at industry trade shows including AREA, NCEMC, and TechAdvantage.

Clint serves on the Randolph School Finance Committee, as Treasurer of the ACME Club of Huntsville, and as Secretary of the Boys & Girls Club of North Alabama.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

Getting outside is a big priority. I like to play soccer and hike. Huntsville has active, competitive leagues and great access to views and waterfalls. I’m an enthusiastic cook and enjoy hosting friends to try on an ambitious recipe.

How do you like to give back to the community, and why is it important to you?

I serve on the board for the Boys and Girls Club of North Alabama, on Randolph School’s Finance Committee Board, and as the Treasurer for the ACME Club of Huntsville. Bringing professional skills to bear outside the context where they are expected is validating and can have an outsized impact. It is a great way to connect in your community across age ranges, take advantage of skills you may professionally use only occasionally, and make a positive impact close to home.

Do you have any hidden talents?

Knock on wood; I think I’ve gained a talent for keeping some plants alive. We have 40-50 indoors and don’t incur too much turnover.

Where is your favorite place to relax in Huntsville?

Green Bus Brewing is a personal favorite. It’s a great spot to bring the dog and take in some local music and beer.

What is your favorite workday jam?

Ocean – John Butler Trio.
