Sarah Huskey: Collins Aerospace, Project Manager of the Customer Experience Center

May 26, 2025/in Featured, News, Top 40/by Sarah Zupko

Sarah Huskey, a University of Alabama Business graduate pursuing her MBA at UAH, is the Project Manager of the Customer Experience Center (CEC) at Collins Aerospace, where she connects Redstone Arsenal, PEO Aviation, and the Army warfighter with advanced technology. Her attendance at Chamber of Commerce Events makes her a key figure in Huntsville’s business community. Outside of working at Collins, Sarah also coaches cheerleading part-time at Icon Athletics. In 2023, she was named Cheer Derby’s “Coach of the Year.” Sarah also serves as Director of social media for the Army Aviation Association of America’s Tennessee Valley Chapter. Sarah is engaged to Jackson Lawrence, with their wedding planned for August.

What do you love most about living and working in Huntsville?

I’ve lived in Huntsville my entire life, and I love the strong sense of community that makes it feel like a small town! The city’s expansion, particularly in the defense industry, has provided exciting opportunities for me to advance my career while contributing to a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

What’s your best advice for starting a career in the Rocket City?

My best advice for starting a career in the Rocket City is to actively network with others and stay open to any opportunity that comes your way. With Huntsville’s rapid growth, there are endless possibilities for both personal and professional development!

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

I enjoy many hobbies, from staying active and spending quality time with family and friends to improving my very beginner golf skills, all thanks to my fiancé, Jackson! It’s been a fun and rewarding experience to learn something new.

How do you like to give back to the community, and why is it important to you?

I enjoy giving back to the community through various opportunities provided by my company’s Corporate Social Responsibility group, such as volunteering with Kids to Love, Free 2 Teach, and more. It’s important to me because I truly feel like I’m making a meaningful impact in people’s lives!

Where is your favorite place to relax in Huntsville?

My favorite place to relax in Huntsville is at my bay window in Jones Valley, where I curl up with my fur baby, Polly, and enjoy the view. I don’t get much downtime, but when I do, there’s nothing better than reading an actual book—one with real pages—and savoring that comforting smell of paper!
