Huntsville Committee of 100 announce latest Board of Director appointments

HUNTSVILLE, AL – The Committee of 100, a membership based organization of 332 CEOs and professionals focused on long-term economic development, high-quality public education and cooperative local government, announced the election of Chris Hanback, a partner with The Ventis Group, as the Chair of the Committee of 100 Board of Directors and Bree Wilbourn, partner with Grace, Matthews & Debro, as the BizPac Chair for the term 2024-2025.

“I am eager to continue our work with elected officials, community partners and business leaders to address key economic development issues and achieve excellence in public education.  Our organization remains a strong advocate for the highest level of local collaboration because it results in economic success for our city and region,” said Hanback

Hanback spent 22 years in commercial banking and private industry before founding a real estate development firm whose portfolio includes Avenue 6, The Lofts at Dallas Mill and Freeman Row among others.

Additionally, Hanback has served in numerous leadership roles in the community including past Chairman of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees, Secretary of the Huntsville Downtown Redevelopment Authority and Treasurer of The Bullpen Foundation. He also previously served as the Committee of 100 Young Professionals Chair.

Wilbourn, a graduate of UAH and Cumberland School of Law, moved back to Huntsville in 2006 to focus her legal career on general civil litigation.

She previously served as the Chair of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation Development Council, Ambassador for the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville, Women’s Economic Development Council, Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Trustee, and a founding board member of Huntsville Young Lawyers.

Wilbourn was also a previous Committee of 100 Young Professionals Chair.
