Genevieve Miller: Huntsville Hair Company, Co-owner and Lead Stylist

May 5, 2026/in 2026, Featured, Lead, News, Success/by Sarah Zupko

Genevieve Miller, who has over 13 years of experience in the beauty industry, is the owner and lead stylist of Huntsville Hair Company. Known for her leadership and vision, she has built a salon rooted in professionalism, high standards, and growth. Genevieve is passionate about mentoring stylists, creating sustainable careers, and delivering exceptional client experiences. As an entrepreneur, she focuses on business development, education, and community connection. Her work reflects a commitment to excellence, integrity, and empowering others, making her a respected leader within the Huntsville community and the beauty industry.

How do you like to give back to the community, and why is it important to you?

Supporting the community that supports my business is something I care deeply about. Whether it’s mentoring stylists, creating opportunities for my team, or supporting local events and causes, I believe businesses should play an active role in strengthening their communities. Huntsville has given me so much, and giving back is one way I can show gratitude and help others grow as well.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

When I’m not at the salon, I really value slowing down and spending time with family and friends. I enjoy cooking, trying new recipes, and just being present with the people I care about. Those moments help me recharge so I can come back to work energized and focused.

What motivates you on hard days?

The people around me motivate me the most—my team, my clients, and the community we serve. Running a business definitely has its challenges, but knowing that the work we do helps people feel confident and supported keeps me going. Even on the toughest days, I remind myself that what we’re building is bigger than just a salon.

What do you love most about living and working in Huntsville?

Huntsville has such a unique blend of growth and community. It’s a city that continues to evolve and bring in new opportunities, but it still has that small-town feel where people genuinely support local businesses. I love getting to meet people from all walks of life in my chair and hearing their stories. Being part of such a supportive and hardworking community makes building a business here incredibly rewarding.

What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?

I would tell myself to trust the process and not rush success. When you’re younger, it’s easy to feel like you have to have everything figured out immediately. The truth is that growth comes from experience, mistakes, and persistence. I’d also remind myself to be confident in my abilities and not be afraid to take bigger leaps sooner.
