What do you love most about living and working in Huntsville?
My family and I love the people and the geography. We have met a lot of great people and made many meaningful friendships in Huntsville. We enjoy the outdoors, so the proximity and accessibility of the mountains and the Tennessee River are great benefits of this area for us.
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?
If I could advise my 22-year-old self, I’d say continually embrace responsibility, seek out discomfort, and never get complacent. Growth happens when you step into challenges that stretch you, not when you stay where you feel comfortable.
I’d also remind myself that leadership is built in the small, consistent actions — preparation, follow-through, and how you treat people.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work?
Outside of work you will find my wife and I busy with our three kids and their day-to-day activities. In our free time, we enjoy working on projects together, traveling and exploring new places.
How do you like to give back to the community, and why is it important to you?
I am actively involved with Lincoln Village and Church of the Highlands, both of which are committed to strengthening our community. As Huntsville continues to grow, it’s important that opportunity grows with it. Lincoln Village’s focus on holistic development — supporting students and families through education, mentorship, and long-term stability — aligns with my belief that lasting change happens when we invest in the whole family. Sustainable growth is only possible when we help create pathways that break cycles and allow the entire community to move forward together.
Who has been the biggest influence on your career, and what valuable lesson did they teach you?
I have been fortunate to have several people make an impactful difference in my career. My father and Kyle Reaves, a Project Executive who I had the privilege of reporting to for 8 years, have had the largest influences. They taught me the importance of balancing the details with the big picture. My father has been a great sounding board for my ideas and challenges I’ve faced in work and life. Early in my career, Kyle took the time to push my thinking and approach to situations, always challenging me to do more.
