Defense contracts roundup: Intuitive Research nets $58M Army contract

Intuitive Research and Technology was awarded a $58,742,720 modification for systems engineering and technical assistance support for the Short and Intermediate Effectors for Layered Defense project office. 

The work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 26, 2027. 

The Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal is the contracting activity.  

Other defense contracts:

  • Dynetics has been awarded a $37,668,317 contract modification for additional spares and engineering services to support Indirect Fire Protection Capability Increment Two.
    The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the undefinitized contract to $654,832,452.
    Work will be performed in Huntsville and Tucson with an estimated completion date of Nov. 30, 2029.
    The Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal is the contracting activity. 
  • LESCO was awarded a $24,708,074 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to support Tennessee National Guard dining services.
    Work locations and funding will be determined with each order.
  • Abaco Systems has been awarded a $10,089,723 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, requirements contract for B-1B sustainment.
    The contract provides for sustainment services and ethernet switch unit power supply spares.
    The work will be performed in Huntsville and is expected to be completed by Nov. 26, 2027.
    The Air Force Sustainment Center at Robins Air Force Base is the contracting activity.

  • Leidos was awarded a $9,933,628 a cost-plus-fixed-fee, time-and-materials, and cost-reimbursable contract for Engineering and Integration of the Medusa Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft System of Systems.
    This contract provides for the continued engineering support services to accomplish the continued evolution of the Medusa Counter-Small Unmanned Aircraft System of System.
    The work will be performed in Huntsville and elsewhere and is expected to be completed by Sept. 29, 2027.  
  • Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has been awarded a $155,680,800 cost-plus-award-fee type modification to a previously awarded contract to exercise option items supporting systems engineering and software integration for the Integrated Combat System across the Surface Force portfolio of the Navy and Coast Guard.
    The work will be performed in Huntsville and other sites.  
  • BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services was awarded a $94,594,960 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide comprehensive engineering, technical, and programmatic services for the Navy’s Nuclear-Armed, Sea-Launched Cruise Missile Program.
    The work will be performed in Huntsville and other sites and is expected to be completed on Sept. 30, 2028.  
  • Raytheon Technologies, Raytheon Missiles and Defense has been awarded a $21,663,323 cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price order.
    This order provides non-recurring engineering to mitigate obsolete components and restart production of the Tomahawk Legacy Integrated Firing Unit, as well as test equipment, 380 Integrated Firing Unit production units, and associated data for the Navy.
    The work will be performed in Huntsville and Tucson and is expected to be completed in September 2029.  
  • Sikorsky Aircraft was awarded a $15,490,826 cost-plus-fixed-fee order to provide non-recurring engineering to integrate, test, and qualify upgraded data transfer, identification friend or foe, anti-jam radio waveform, and aircraft radio communication capabilities and to develop associated engineering changes and technical data for the CH-53K Mission Systems Configuration 2028 in support of Marine Corps requirements.
    The work will be performed in Huntsville and other sites and is expected to be completed in January 2030.
