HUNTSVILLE, AL – Sentar Inc. (Sentar), a Huntsville women-owned small business specializing in cyber intelligence solutions and technology, has been awarded the Battle Force Tactical Network (BFTN) Resilient Command, Control, and Communications (RC3) System Enhancement (BRSE) Software Development task order by the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific.

The BFTN is a network used by naval forces to facilitate communication and information sharing in tactical situations. The RC3 system, within the BFTN, focuses specifically on ensuring the resilience and effectiveness of command, control, and communications functions. The BRSE task order specifically targets the development of software solutions to improve various aspects of the RC3 system, such as fixing bugs, enhancing reliability, integrating with other systems, and supporting operations with low data rates.

Overall, this task order represents a concerted effort by NIWC Pacific to bolster the technological infrastructure supporting command, control, and communications functions within the naval forces, ultimately aiming to improve operational effectiveness and resilience in dynamic and challenging environments.

Under this task order, Sentar will deliver software analysis and development, comprehensive test and evaluation services, and onsite technical assistance to support the BRSE program.

The BRSE program encompasses state-of-the-art High Frequency (HF) radios, modems, network controllers, and network management systems. Anticipated upgrades to the BRSE platform will target various areas, including resolving system bugs, enhancing system reliability, integrating with interconnected systems, and optimizing support for operations with very low data rates.

“We are delighted for the opportunity to extend our partnership with NIWC Pacific and continue providing top-tier software development and cybersecurity support,” stated April Nadeau, Senior Vice President of Sentar. “Sentar’s proactive approach to service and cybersecurity has not only ensured the delivery of exceptional support and development but has also facilitated the creation of a solution that is adaptable and poised for future growth.”

The contracted work will span one base year with the potential for two additional option years, all to be conducted in San Diego, CA.
