For students who do not meet admission requirements at Drake State, the college’s Adult Education Services will provide free additional training to help them gain admission.

HBJHMCBuildersLogo“We are extremely excited about this partnership,” Said Barry Oxley, executive director of the Huntsville-Madison County Builders Association. “Our primary goal since the beginning has  always been workforce development.

“This partnership will help us further that goal and better train the next generation of tomorrow’s skilled workers.”

Drake State President Dr. Patricia Sims emphasized the opportunities the partnership makes available.

“This partnership gives students the chance to build on technical training and propel themselves  forward in their chosen careers by converting work training and experience to college credits,” she said. “We see it as a way to help  develop the workforce in our community and provide more career pathways for students.”
