Town Madison Welcomes Luxury Mixed-Use Apartment Community
MADISON — As if the atmosphere at Town Madison wasn’t exciting enough, Atlanta-based Novare Group plans for a 290-unit luxury mixed-use apartment community on the development’s west side.
Designed by Niles Bolton Associates, the mid-rise residential project will feature studios, one-, and two-bedroom residences, and eight live-and-work units housed in three- and four-story residential buildings with two ground-floor retail spaces totaling 5,000 square feet.
Sitting on 13.45 acres at 375 Lime Quarry Road in The Commons section of Town Madison, the community will offer a resort-style swimming pool, private co-working lounge with private rooms and a conference room, a state-of-the-art fitness center with a yoga and spin room, a dog park, and a clubroom with demo kitchen and fireplace. Each building will have air-conditioned corridors and elevators with 483 surface parking spaces and 25 detached garages.
The community also has direct access to North Alabama’s ambitious legacy project, the Singing River Trail – 70 miles of walking, biking, and hiking trails and greenways.
“We are excited to be partnering with (Batson-Cook Development Company) and Litt Glover on this apartment community, which is well-located and well-positioned to take advantage of Madison’s remarkable momentum,” said president and CEO of Novare Group Jim Borders. “We are an easy commute of 15 minutes or less to all the area’s major employers including Intergraph, Redstone Arsenal, Cummings Research Park and others.”
Novare said it was enticed by Madison’s mix of high-tech, service businesses and retail stores and its proximity to Huntsville International Airport.
Since CNN Money magazine named Madison in its top 50 Best Places to Live, Novare and its partners see Town Madison as a business-welcoming, family-friendly environment that is appealing to young professionals, retirees, and growing families with its highly desirable Madison City School System, which is ranked second in the state.
“Novare has been one of the top multifamily developers in the country for going on three decades,’ said Litt Glover, BCDC’s president and CEO. “BCDC has enjoyed a long and successful partnership with them on 27 projects over the last 10 years. We are thrilled to be underway in Madison and look forward to partnering with Novare Group on this and on many more projects in the future.”
Novare Group, BCDC, and Marble Capital are investors in the project, with Synovus Bank providing financing. Walter Schoel Engineering is the civil engineer and Doster Construction is the general contractor.
Novare is planning a groundbreaking ceremony in April and the opening is planned for summer 2022.
Novare Group has developed more than 16,000 residential units in a variety of styles and designs across the southern and western U.S.
