Mark Your Calendar: Entertainment Mecca Main Event Opens February 25th

This weekend, it’s time to get your fun on! The Main Event Family Entertainment Center will be celebrating its grand opening on Friday, February 25th

Main Event invites everyone to join them at their ribbon cutting ceremony from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Then, at noon, they will open the doors to the public. The first 200 in line to enter the new center will receive free laser tag for a year.

As one of the fastest growing, most innovative dining and entertainment companies in the country, the grand opening represents Main Event’s 46th location but the first of its kind in the state of Alabama.

The new location is in what used to be Toys R Us at Bridge Street Town Centre in Huntsville.

With almost 50,000-square-feet of entertainment space, Main Event features 22 state-of-the-art bowling lanes, games, virtual reality experiences, high-flying gravity ropes, and billiards.

The Huntsville Main Event will also be one of the few centers in the country to have Multiball, a new attraction that combines digital gaming with interactive sports, a private VIP bowling lane, and an elevated bar area with clear sight lines so parents can have fun yet still keep an eye on their kids.

Throughout the United States, Main Event has firmly established its reputation as a family entertainment center known for bringing families together to celebrate a variety of milestones of all sizes and scope.

Main Event also features hassle-free birthday parties. Parents can have their own dedicated party host to organize the planning and décor. They also offer an assortment of party packages that feature a wide variety of activities for all ages.

To bump up that celebration meter a notch, Main Event has recently teamed up with Party City to offer five tailored Party City Packs with made-to-order Birthday Balloon Bouquets and Party Kit add-on options for birthday celebrations.

In addition to hosting birthday parties, Main Event Huntsville offers fully equipped private event spaces with the latest audio-visual technology, full-service catering, free Wi-Fi, and additional perks, designed to accommodate any social or corporate occasion big or small.

“As a company focused on connecting people in meaningful ways and building memories that will last a lifetime, we are excited to call Huntsville home,” said Chris Morris, President and Chief Executive Officer of Main Event Entertainment. “In addition to a fun venue, we are proud to bring nearly 200 new jobs to the Huntsville community.” shutterstock image 8

Main Event is dedicated to being fully invested in the local community. Their most recent fundraising initiative, “Pins for Purpose” kicks off February 25th and continues through March 4th. For every strike bowled on Lane 1, Main Event will kick in $10 with a goal of reaching $10,000. Funds raised will be donated to Still Serving Veterans.

Main Event and MiLB AA Huntsville Trash Pandas have also teamed up to deliver big fun for the whole family. Main Event will sponsor the “Moment of the Game,” along with hosting birthday celebrations and operating the Toyota Field “Kid Zone” playground.

Main Event’s operating hours will be from Mondays from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.; Tuesdays through Thursdays from 11 a.m. to midnight; Fridays 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.; Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to midnight.

“We cannot wait to bring our one-of-a-kind experience to Huntsville,” said Justin Hutchins, General Manager of Main Event Huntsville. “There is no family entertainment center that can bring people together for a day or night of fun like Main Event and we’re so excited to make memories with our new Huntsville neighbors.”
