June 10, 2022/in Awards, Community Development, News, Recognition, Tourism/by Ashlyn Grey

On June 3rd, the Huntsville Botanical Garden was awarded the title of No. 4 Best Botanical Garden in North America by USA Today in their 2022 10 Best Readers’ Choice Travel Award Contest for Best Botanical Garden.

“We are thrilled and honored that the Garden has been named the #4 Best Botanical Garden in North America by USA Today 10Best! We are proud to be recognized, and it is a privilege to represent our community in this way on a national level.”, shared Huntsville Botanical Garden’s Public Relations Representative, Anna Beck.

“This recognition was made possible by the support of the surrounding community. The contest begins with a list of 20 contenders selected by an expert panel at USA Today 10Best, but the top 10 winners are chosen by public voting, so this recognition is truly thanks to our supporters in the Huntsville/Madison County area and beyond.”, continued Beck.

Sue Wagner, chief executive officer of the Garden, spoke a bit on the award.

“We are proud to be recognized as one of the top botanical gardens in North America. This recognition was made possible by the support of our community here in Huntsville and throughout North Alabama region.”, she continued, “Thanks to your support, we are able to show the nation what a special place we have here in Huntsville.”

The Garden has accepted previous recognition by USA Today 10Best in the Best Botanical Garden Holiday Lights contest, ranking No. 2 in 2020 and No. 7 in 2021.
