On Wednesday, the former CASA (Care Assurance System for the Aging and Homebound) of Madison County celebrated its adoption of a fresh new name and look with an event held at the space it shares with United Way of Madison County at 701 Andrew Jackson Way in Huntsville.

Attendees at the unveiling included representatives from the media, local officials, and community supporters.

Officially renamed Enable Madison County with the byline “Independence Restored,” the organization’s logo features a stylized bird taking flight against an aqua-colored background, eliciting a sense of freedom and peace that echoes the mission of the organization.

Despite the rebranding, the nonprofit’s mission remains the same after 43 years of service: helping aging and homebound clients to live independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes.

Enable provides no-cost services to clients or their families through community donors and volunteers. These include providing transportation to medical appointments; adding safety equipment and improvements to homes such as grab bars, handrails, and step repair; doing yard work; winterizing homes in the fall; and building custom wheelchair ramps.

The decision to rebrand was not taken lightly. “We knew that this organization has such a longstanding history in our community that we wanted to do right by it. We determined that a rebrand would revitalize our focus, which will drive continued growth and avoid confusion between us and other organizations in the community,” said Board of Directors President Terri Dean.

According to Dean, the new brand promotes both the future vision of Enable Madison County and the substantial impact it has had in the Huntsville-Madison County community over the past four decades.
