What is your career goal, and how does HSV fit into that picture?

My career goal is to make a meaningful impact through storytelling and filmmaking. Developing collaboration across mediums I love.  I am passionate about creating content that allows people from all walks of life to feel seen and understood. Huntsville has been a great place for me to explore my creative pursuits because there is always something new to try. Being a city heavily focused on STEM the creative pursuits that I have been involved with are never two and the same. This continues to challenge me and improve my ability and acumen.

How is your experience unique in your field, and what are you doing personally to innovate and produce change in your field?

My background has been heavily focused in academia. Using my undergraduate and graduate experience I have been able to create a framework for new opportunities for those that come after me. It is also quite interesting seeing the collaborations I have been a part of, they range from political to energy clients. So personally I am investing in lifting as I climb. Bringing new insights to projects whether it is mine or someone else’s.

What’s your favorite restaurant in town?

My favorite restaurant will always and forever be Betty Maes. You just can’t beat Southern fried love. If I’m not in the mood for soul food, Kamado Ramen is the next stop, the food and vibes are immaculate.
