North Huntsvilles Freedom Industrial Park is officially on the way

North Huntsville’s Freedom Industrial Park is officially on the way

Ground has been officially broken and the first building is on the way for Freedom’s Real Estate and Capital’s Freedom Industrial Park located across from Toyota Manufacturing on Pulaski Pike.

According to Freedom Real Estate CEO Bill Roark, the new Industrial Park will be a massive undertaking for the company. The first of five scheduled buildings will total over 104,000 square feet while the entire industrial park will total over 600,000 square feet of leasable space upon completion.

Roark explained that this deal is the first of its kind for Freedom Real Estate and Capital, which is a sister company to Torch Technologies.

“This is our first industrial park development,” he explained. “We’re developing this whole property into an industrial park. The first building that we are groundbreaking today will be 104,000 feet. The second will be 145,000 square feet and building three will be just shy of 200,000 square feet.”

Buildings four and five will bring the total square footage of the development to over 600,000. The first two buildings will be specifically used by Freedom Real Estate while the others will be available for lease. Roark said the first building’s construction is set to be complete in six months.

Freedom Real Estate first set its eyes on the land for a development project back in 2021 according to Roark and before the deal was finally complete, the company walked away from it a total of eight times.

Construction will be handled by the Freedom Real Estate Construction Organization.

Roark also thanked the company’s other partners at the groundbreaking which include Redstone Federal Credit Union, SJ&L, HC Blake and Stewart Electric.

“This is a really big project for us and we’re just really excited about it,” Roark continued. “It’s the beginning of a new journey for us and those are always exciting. I find creating things for the first time to be the most enjoyable part of this business.”

Mayor Tommy Battle was also on hand to give his remarks before the event concluded with the official groundbreaking.

“Freedom Real Estate and Torch Technologies have invested in our community time and time again, and now they’re investing once more,” said Battle. “As you look at this planned industrial park, it is going to be a catalyst for development all the way across North Huntsville.”
