March 27, 2024/in Entertainment, Featured, Hospitality, Lead, News, People, Recognition, Tourism/by Gus Wintzell

The Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau has added a member to their marketing team

Brent Boyd is the new Communications Manager and brings an extensive background in marketing and public relations to the position.

As founder of CityVision, Inc. in 2004, a Birmingham-based multimedia advertising and publishing company specializing in hotel visitor TV channels, in-room publications, brochure distribution and travel guide publishing, Mr. Boyd has worked with many of the state’s destination marketing organizations and convention and visitors bureaus as well as hundreds of businesses and attractions to help visitors make decisions about how they spend their time while visiting here.

In 2019, Boyd was recognized for his contributions to the tourism industry in Huntsville with the Huntsville-Madison County Hospitality Association’s Red Ribbon Award.

Boyd began working in the Huntsville area in 2008 and placed the first in-room publication, EXCURSIONS Hotel GuestBook, in more than 2,500 hotel rooms throughout Madison County.

By 2012, he expanded his company’s services in Huntsville to include a visitor TV channel in 20 Huntsville hotels (a service that had been the cornerstone marketing solution of his company since 2004 in Birmingham, AL) which included local radio personality, Abby Kay, as host and was dedicated to promoting businesses and attractions in Huntsville and North Alabama.

“We’re thrilled to have Brent join the Convention & Visitors Bureau team.  His experience, skills set and hospitality industry knowledge will strengthen our efforts to promote the community as a visitor destination, convention site, and sporting events host,” said CVB President and CEO Jennifer Moore.
