ULA honors 10 suppliers with Supplier of the Year Awards

United Launch Alliance (ULA) recently honored 10 suppliers with 2023 Supplier of the Year Awards for their dedicated support across ULA’s product lines. Strategic supplier partnerships remain paramount as ULA anticipates an unprecedented growth in production for the innovative Vulcan program and doubling the launch rate to support Amazon’s Kuiper missions.

“Strong strategic partnerships are vital to continuing our industry-leading support of our customers’ missions,” said Tory Bruno, ULA’s president and CEO. “Every year our suppliers have gone above and beyond to increase production in response to a growing demand for our Vulcan rocket while continuing a laser focus on 100 percent mission success. ULA is proud to recognize these trusted suppliers who have made enormous contributions in support of our mission.”

The 10 companies to review awards from ULA are as follows:

  • ULA Supplier of the Year and Outstanding Quality Performance Supplier of the Year – Turner Construction Company Inc. 
    Turner Construction, located in Huntsville, Ala., led the design and construction of the ULA facility expansion at the ULA factory in Decatur, Ala.
  • Most Innovative Supplier of the Year – Moog Inc. 
    Moog Inc., located in Buffalo, NY, is an avionics supplier that provides actuators for all ULA launch vehicles.
  • Production Operations Supplier of the Year – M&J Precision
    M&J is a small, woman-owned machine shop supplier located in Decatur, Ala., that produces flight hardware for Atlas, Delta and Vulcan vehicles.
  • Extra Mile Supplier of the Year – BRPH Construction Services Inc. 
    BRPH, located in Melbourne, Fla., is a construction management supplier that managed our Camp Blanding storage expansion project to support storage of Solid Rocket Motors for our increased launch rate.
  • Services Supplier of the Year – Keystone Inland Shipping LLC
    Located in Pomona, Calif., Keystone is a vessel management company that operates ULA’s RocketShip that transports launch vehicles to the launch sites.
  • Complex Components Supplier of the Year – Forgital Group
    Forgital’s operations are in Houston, Texas and is a supplier that specializes in forged rings in support of the Atlas and Vulcan launch vehicles.
  • Partner Supplier of the Year – Mark Dapore, L3 Harris
    Mark Dapore is being recognized for serving as a key asset and setting the standard for supplier partnering with ULA.
  • Launch Operations Supplier of the Year – Core Electric Services
    Core Electric Services is a small business located in Melbourne, Fla., that supports the launch sites with ground electrical work to ensure success and processing of ULA launch vehicles.
  • Government Operations Supplier of the Year – AMI Metals
    AMI Metals, located in Brentwood, Tenn., is a raw materials distributor that supports all ULA launch vehicles.
  • Small Business Supplier of the Year – Reyco Precision Machining Inc. 
    Reyco is a small business located in Englewood, Colo., that provides machined parts, performing post-print machining and processing on ULA additive manufactured hardware.

ULA works with more than 2,000 suppliers from nearly all fifty states, with a $5.9 billion five-year supplier spend and more than $11 billion total national five-year economic impact.
