Laming joins Port of Huntsville as Business Development Manager
HUNTSVILLE, AL – The Port of Huntsville announced Tom Laming as its newest Business Development Manager. Laming joined the Business Development team on Oct. 2.
As Business Development Manager, Laming’s responsibilities will include generating revenue through land sales and leases, facility leases and to increase air cargo, rail cargo and passenger activity at the Port of Huntsville.
“Tom’s experience and expertise will be valuable in enhancing our BD Department efforts, and we are pleased that he has returned to the Port of Huntsville,” said Barbie Peek, Chief Business Development Officer.
Prior to starting his new role, Laming spent the previous 2.5 years at two commercial airlines. At Southwest Airlines, he provided economic analysis of the airline industry for the Financial Planning & Analysis team. At American Airlines, he worked on the domestic network planning team as analyst for the Phoenix and Chicago hubs as well as oversaw routes to Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. ski markets.
Prior to his airline employment, Laming worked for the Omaha Airport Authority (Eppley Airfield & Millard Airport) and the Port of Huntsville where his responsibilities ranged from business development to airport operations and marketing.
Laming graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Aviation Management and an MBA and from Indiana University with a B.S. in Business Marketing. He is a member of the American Association of Airport Executives and holds the distinction of Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E).
