Where is your favorite place to kick back and relax in Huntsville?

Angel’s Island Coffee

What is a fun fact about you?

I was a lawyer before I opened Cabana Wax. My first job out of law school was ghostwriting decisions for federal judges in their cases. I graduated #3 in my law school class!

What is the best part about working in Huntsville?

Huntsville is still small enough that I’m able to remember lots of our customers by name, but I also get to meet new people all the time. I love that my small business can be a positive part of someone’s introduction to Huntsville.

What is your best piece of advice for starting a career in Rocket City?

Specific to opening a business in Huntsville, figure out what’s already available to consumers, and offer something that you’re passionate about that is different from what currently exists. In general, with starting a business, make paying off business debts, like loans, a first priority so that you can enjoy true financial freedom sooner.

What is your favorite work day jam?

Mostly current pop, and 2000s hip hop/R&B.
