Al Smith, Jr. – Stanton Chase – Managing Partner
A southern Louisiana native and former professional athlete, Al Smith Jr. recently reallocated to Huntsville, Alabama to spearhead the opening of a new office for Stanton Chase. Prior to working his current position, Al worked on corporate talent acquisition teams, providing him with strategic experience in identifying and obtaining top talent for companies. Al graduated from Northwestern State University, where he played football and served as Team Captain. He recently relocated to Huntsville with his wife and four children, with a fifth child on the way.

What is a fun fact about you?
I played Football professionally in the Canadian Football League. So, I’ve gone from hitting people to helping people, and helping people is much easier on my bones.

The people of Huntsville are so connected and unified in seeing this city grow not only for themselves but for their families and local community. When you’re surrounded by people who share your common goals, it’s easy to find joy and fulfillment in your work.
What is your best piece of advice for starting a career in Rocket City?
Community is key. Learn from the people you admire. Keep your goals in front of you and let your decisions flow out of those. Always have a powerful and inspiring “Why”.
